Thiessen wins Best Goaltender Award

Brad Thiessen, the top goaltending prospect of the Penguins and starting Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins goalie has been named the winner of the "Baz" Bastien Award.
This honor is handed out to the "AHL’s most outstanding goaltender for the 2010-11 season, as voted by coaches, players and members of the media in each of the league’s 30 cities."

His 2010-11 stats:
34-7-1 record, 1.93 GAA, .922 save %, 7 shutouts
 
Thiessen is stuck behind Marc-Andre Fleury and Brent Johnson on the depth chart, but this future NHL'er will hold down the fort in WB/S and develop for the time being.
