The Baby Pens are on an absolute tear right now.
Not only are their top 3 scorers in Pittsburgh right now (Jeffrey, Tangradi, Johnson), but their current leading scorer was a scratch tonight due to a minor injury.
That man is The Ticket, Brett Sterling. Not to mention, top-6 forward Tim Wallace was an injured scratch as well.
Their mindset and attitude is that they are capable of competing and defeating any AHL team in their path.

Keven Veilleux has visibly developed as a player over the past three months.
What were once 4th line grinders at the beginning of the season, Zach Sill and Geoff Walker are now offensive threats in their own right.
When Walker barrels down the left wing side and busts out the NHL '10 curve shot on your candy ass, you know things are going your way.
Original jobber Bryan Lerg has turned himself into an NHL prospect, combining highlight-reel goals with some added foot speed that he has developed himself.

On the defensive side of the puck, every one is doing their job. There are no atrocious giveaways, or bad touches on pucks in the D-zone.
Corey Potter is turning into the minor-league version of Sergei Gonchar, blasting slap shots home from the blue-line like it's an everyday occurrence.

Winger Paul Thompson and defenseman Viktor Ekbom both made their professional debuts and they were not out of place by any means.
Thompson picked up his first career point, with a secondary apple on Potter's blast in the second.
Ekbom showed he is going to be a nasty, responsible, 2-way mobile D-man.

Another big-time prospect, Brendan DeFazio is going to make his debut tomorrow with Wilkes-Barre. The pipeline just keeps growing.

Check out the video highlights for the snipe show that rained down on rival goalie Justin Pogge tonight.
Couldn't happen to a bigger asshole.
