The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins team are a force to be reckoned with. Take away any AHL team's top 7 scorers and they'll lose 8-2 on a consistent, nightly basis.

 

The Baby Pens will beat you with their AHL-only contract players and ECHL call-ups, and call it a night.

Pretty sure Brad Thiessen took acid over the All-Star break. He stopped 26 of 27 shots, and all 4 Norfolk shootout shooters.

 

A tight, back-and-forth scoreless battle occured until the 14-mark of the third period.

Wheeling call-up and first-year pro Ben Street continues his unreal offensive output, and put one upstairs on Dustin Tokarski for his 8th of the year.

 

The Admirals would pull their goalie and go into pure desperation mode.

The puck comes out to fellow Wheeling call-up David Marshall at the point, who has a clear opportunity to shoot for the empty net.

Instead, he attempts to be fancy with the puck, and turns it over right inside the line.

Some homo takes a last-effort shot and Mike Angelidis tips in the game tying goal with only 4 seconds left in the third.

 

The Pens didn't care, though. Overtime wasn't enough, so it was time for the:

Ben Street, the hot hand, went first - No.

Keven Veilleux followed with a nasty bury. He's 3-for-3 in his pro career in the shootout.

Bryan Lerg - Nice move, but no dice.

Joey Haddad  - No.

Andrew Hutchinson - The crafty, yet calm veteran comes down and executes a point blank snipe show.
