May 24 03:53PM RECAP: Wagner For President. WB/S PENS WIN SERIES.

The Baby Pens closed out their opening round series against the Tampa Bay affiliate Norfolk Admirals tonight, on home ice.

Offensive defenseman Steve Wagner broke out, and blasted off three straight slap shot cannons from the point, all of them tickling the twine.

Natural hat tricks are rare at any time, in any league. When a defenseman pulls the feat off in a playoff game nonetheless, you're pretty beast.

 

 

Broadway Joe Vitale took a cross-ice pass from Tim Wallace and buried it past Dustin Tokarski, and buried it with a passion.

Joey V's goal would end up being the game winner, but Wallace and second-year pro Zach Sill added empty netters for good measure.

Who else better than the Alaskan Crab, veteran of over 300 WB/S games to put the puck into that open cage to send the Ad's packing.

 

Colby Armstrong was in attendance tonight, and was honored with a video tribute on the big screen.

 

The official AHLLive feed was having technical difficulties all night long, so they didn't even broadcast all of the goals that were scored tonight.

They also missed the entire handshake line at the end of the game. Joke.
