Pechurskiy's Back

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins have signed goaltender Alex Pechurskiy to a professional tryout contract today.
Earlier, we thought the Killeen demotion was a good sign for Brad Thiessen but we were wrong.
John Curry will replace Thiessen in the AHL All-Star Game.

Pechurskiy started the season with Tri-City (WHL), and went 2-0-1 with a 3.60 GAA, and a .861 save %.
Due to some bizarre European player loophole, he was dropped from the team and he joined the biggest jobber league in America, the CHL.
With the Mississippi River Kings there, he posted a 10-8 record along with a 2.74 GAA, .898 save %.

Most of you will remember Pechurskiy from his lone NHL performance a season ago.

Welcome back, Baskov.
