Pechurskiy Released

According to JB of Penguins Insider, rookie goaltender Alex Pechurskiy has been released from his 25-game pro try-out contract.
Pechurskiy was brought in just last week, due to an injury to WB/S starting goaltender Brad Thiessen and Patrick Killeen heading to the ECHL All-Star game.

This is a great sign for all Penguins fans, because it notifies us that Thiessen will be ready to go on Friday, when the Baby Pens host the Manitoba Moose at 7:05 PM.
Pechurskiy didn't see any regular AHL playing time in his short stint besides warm-ups and practice, but he went 1-1 as the back-up goaltender.
