Paper Transaction: Tangradi, Wallace to WB/S

The Pittsburgh Penguins have sent forwards Eric Tangradi and Tim Wallace to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL).
This is most likely a "paper transaction", meaning that the move was solely made to save money on the day-to-day NHL cap hit.
This wouldn't be the first time we've seen something like this happen.
Players that are re-assigned must physically report to where they are assigned, so these two will probably be recalled in the morning, drive back and play against the LA Kings.
Of course, that's if the likes of Chris Kunitz and Arron Asham aren't healthy enough to play.

The drive from the 'Burgh to WilkesVegas is so long and boring that it can't help but make the shuffling prospects mentally and physically stronger. It builds character.
Most Penguin officials had an off-day today.
GM Ray Shero saved some dollars and built some future warriors.
