The blue-collar defenseman was a proud member of the WB/S Penguins 2001-02, 2002-03, 2003-04, and 2004-05 squads.

Robinson passed away in September 2007, when he collapsed on the ice after suffering a heart attack. He died minutes later on the way to the hospital.
He was in his 3rd season with HC Asiago in the Italian Serie A1 league.
