RECAP: Banfield and Brown. WB/S PENS LOSE.

The focus has turned to the AHL's best Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins now that Pittsburgh has been eliminated.
Maybe they knew a few more people were watching than normal and they choked, but that's pretty unlikely.
The Baby Pens showed glimpses of the systems and simple plays that were able to help them come back from a 2-0 hole and send Norfolk to the practice tee.
Unfortunately for the second 'game 1' in a row, they were not able to maintain it for very long or at all consistently and it hurt them.
It also did not help that the refereeing in tonight's game was equal to that of a local beer league game.
Dave Banfield and Chris Brown were the two AHL refs on duty tonight. If they ever call an NHL game, we won't recap it.
They just blatantly picked and chose whatever they felt like calling. A totally inconsistent, juvenile and ridiculous game by these two touchers.

BeastMode Veilleux continued his playmaking bid and set up Jumpin' Geoff Walker on the door step for an easy tap-in.
The Ticket, Brett Sterling took an unreal pass from the crafty veteran Andrew Hutchinson and picked a corner for his 1st of the post-season.
Rookie Nick Petersen had the game-tying goal on his stick, but hesitated for a second and shot one right into a defending player's shin pads.
That was all she wrote.

Game.
Charlotte leads the series 1-0.
Game 2 is Saturday night.
Rumors swirling that a stream could be available right here.
Stay tuned.
