AHL Gameday 74 - Charlotte Checkers

7:05 PM

Leading scorer Brett Sterling went off of the ice in the last game against Norfolk. There is no update on his status for tonight's contest.
Brandon DeFazio has been recalled, as we mentioned earlier from the Wheeling Nailers. The first-year player of only 10 professional games (ECHL) will not be in the line-up tonight.
Highly-sought, offensive winger Paul Thompson will play tonight, making both his professional and WB/S (AHL) debut.
*Edit: Tim Wallace did not take warm-ups and is considered "doubtful" for tonight.
As a result, rookie defenseman Viktor Ekbom is expected to make his pro debut as well, rolling 7 defenseman instead.
After the whole Justin Pogge incident that occured just a few months ago, it's safe to say that you could add Charlotte to the new list of WB/S rivals.
In case anyone doesn't know what that refers to, check out the Checkers goalie attempting to fight Robert Bortuzzo and Joe Vitale for no reason other than pure degeneracy:
