Due to the parent re-calls of forwards Dustin Jeffrey and Eric Tangradi, Wheeling's stand-out forwards Nick Petersen and Ben Street have been called up to WB/S.

Goaltender Patrick Killeen was also promoted again, as a precaution to Brad Thiessen's injury recovery.

 

 

Nick Petersen has been Wheeling's best player this year and has been just plain nasty to say the least.

Winning ECHL Player of the Month honors, the first-year pro scored 57 points (24+33) in 40 games with the Nailers, ranking him 2nd in overall league scoring.

Most of his goals coming via the 'snipe', Petersen has a nice skill-set and it will be interesting to see how the AHL coaches use him.

He should get some power play time, with Jeffrey and Tangradi in the NHL for the time being.
