After dropping two consecutive games to rival Norfolk, the Pens have built a two-game winning streak, themselves.
The Abbotsford Heat were in Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday and Friday. They dropped the first one in OT 2-1, and yesterday's final was 5-2 WB/S.
Wilkes-Barre is 8-2 in their previous ten. One big detail hidden inside the AHL's number one team is that prospects are paving the way to victories.
The veterans like Ryan Craig and Corey Potter, to name a few have been showing and teaching the younger guys the ropes.
Tangradi, Jeffrey, Joe Vitale, Robert Bortuzzo will play in the NHL for Pittsburgh one day. They're all playing the best hockey of their careers right now.
Keven Veilleux has a unique combination of hands, size, and willingness to fight. Give him another year in the 'A and he'll join them in The Show.
This AHL success is proof that the Pens will be in great shapefor years to come, organizationally.

The Pens look to finish up strong tonight as the players go home for Christmas break concluding tonight's contest.
Tim Wallace and Andrew Hutchinson are still key regulars missing from the line-up, due to injuries.

The Crunch visited NEPA back in early November, where they were able to squeeze out a comeback victory.
The scoreboard read 4-3 at the end of regulation and the Pens left the rink disappointed.
Syracuse's team is terrible this season. They are in 7th place and have an abysmal 9-15-1-3 record.
If the Baby Pens don't blow them out tonight on the road, I would consider it a disappointment, myself.

5'10" Jon Mirasty is known as one of the toughest fighters in the league.
This meat-head literally doesn't even attempt to play hockey, and just goes around the ice looking for a fight.
It's like a bad scene out of Slapshot.
Jesse Boulerice will have an answer for him, that can be sure. He patrols the ice better than anyone in this league:
