Jordan Staal To Miss The Beginning Of The Season
After a heroic return in the playoffs that made all of us feel bad about ever calling in sick again, Jordan Staal will miss the beginning of the season with a foot infection.
Staal lacerated a tendon in his foot in game one against Montreal but returned in time for game four because he's tougher than any of us will ever be.
Will this injury open up a spot on the team for Tangradi, Jeffrey or Johnson? Or will the Pens keep Eric Godard in the line-up until Staal returns? Staal should be back in about five or six weeks, putting his return date near the beginning of November.
Even if it's an injury, how great is it to talk about actual hockey issues again?
