The Pens sent down two players today, Eric Tangradi and Andrew Hutchinson. [ Penguins.com ]
These moves came as a result of Arron Asham and Brooks Orpik recovering from their injuries.
Tangradi was getting limited minutes on the third and fourth line, so his demotion makes sense.
He will be able to play top line minutes in Wilkes-Barre and develop his game even more.
Hutchinson wasn't spectacular in his stint with Pittsburgh, but he was the last cut in training camp and Shero likes him. He's an elite defenseman at the AHL level.
With both of these players returned to the farm, the Baby Pens are now absolutely stacked. They are already undefeated, with a 6-0 record.
As if they needed any more help, they just inserted their top prospect and number one defenseman back into their line-up.
