Pittsburgh has called up forward/winger Chris Conner from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
Conner started off the season slowly, but in the past two weeks has really turned on the jets.
After scoring multiple highlight reel goals against rival Hershey and Rochester, Bylsma had this to say in today's press conference:
"I'm so sick of hearing how well he's doing (in WBS) from John Hynes, Tom Fitzgerald and Jason Botterill in every aspect that he's doing down there."
Conner is tied for second on the AHL team in scoring, with 9 points in 11 games.
"It's awesome; any time you come to the NHL you want to prove that you can stay here and play well," Conner said."I want to come here and do whatever I can to help the team win. It's always exciting coming up here. It should be fun."
With the Pens playing three in four, and the flu going around, it makes sense to carry the extra forward.
