The final homestand in Mellon Arena history.
You may be visiting the Igloo at some point within the next six games.
In fact, you may be there for every game.
On the other hand, you may have never been to the arena at all.
But you know what she's stood for.
You know what she's meant to this team and its fans.
For every Penguin fan, the Igloo holds a special place in our hearts.
This is the only home we've ever known.
Old Lady Mellon is taking her final bow.
She will see more hockey once this homestand ends.
She will once again welcome the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
If all goes well, she could see games all the way into June.
Across the street sits a magnificent new building.
The Consol Energy Center is what we've been waiting for.
It's what we dreamed about.
But it's not the Igloo.
Nothing will ever be the Igloo.

Unless these two teams meet in the playoffs, this is the final time the Flyers will visit the Igloo.
Empty Netters notes that the Flyers all time record in Pittsburgh is 49-61-25.
Hate Week hasn't gone so well for the Pens, but a victory against the Flyers would be nice.
Johan Backlund will be making his NHL debut in the Flyers net.
Will he join the long line of rookie goaltenders that have made the Penguins look bad over the years?
Or will he join the even longer line of Philadelphia goaltenders that the Penguins have made look bad over the years?
It doesn't look like Sergei Gonchar will either.
