The final stages of the Shane Doan saga could start today
Now that Semin signed with the Hurricanes, the only other big name linked to the Pens is Shane Doan.
And it appears today the wheels will be put in motion on Doan's decision on where to play according to USA today:
Doan will chat over the phone with potential buyer Greg Jamison Friday in what appears to be a last-ditch effort to gain insight into the status of Jamison's bid to purchase the Coyotes. If Doan's camp doesn't receive the reassurance it's seeking, talks with other interested teams are likely to begin.
Sounds like it is going to be a really emotional phone call. Shane Doan must have some type of unreal phone skills.
Half of the NHL is interested in Doan, and even though the Pens did make an offer, Doan could see a contract worth 7.5 million which is completely embarrassing.
