Center and captain Sidney Crosby, who has been out since Jan. 5 because of a concussion, has begun to work out and do rehabilitation.
Crosby was held out of any physical activity while he had concussion symptoms, which included headaches. He will have to remain symptom-free for his workouts to accelerate or for him to join his teammates at practice.
We hope the Pens keep Crosby out as long as needed and maybe even a bit longer. There's no point to coming back early right now. We don't want him to turn into Marc Savard.
