.
But don't bother sending just the trade proposal. We want a detailed post with cap numbers, reasoning, etc.
It should be noted that these are just ideas, these are not rumors.
This trade proposal was sent in by Marty A.

Teams: Buffalo Sabres/ Pittsburgh Penguins
To Pittsburgh: Brad Boyes, 3rd round pick
To Buffalo: Tyler Kennedy, Ben Lovejoy
Reasoning:
Pens are buying low on a Boyes rental for the rest of the season and the playoffs. He's having a down year but is a legit scoring threat and could be scary on Crosby's wing. Pens also clear up cap room for resigning Neal this offseason. Sabres' salary cap situation is a dumpster fire, so TK and Lovejoy give them a versatile and productive forward and a solid everyday D-man who are each under contract through the end of next year at very manageable cap numbers, giving them instant depth without further overspending; worth throwing in the pick.
Financials:
Kennedy: $572,973
Lovejoy: $150,405
Boyes: $1,145,946
Both teams are under the cap.
Summary:
If Boyes on Sid's wing could be a fraction of what he was in '07-'09, this could be a game-changer. Boyes would also give some depth/flexibility on the PP. Buffalo has a lot of money tied up in long-term deals, so 2 solid contributors with affordable short-term contracts makes them better on the ice and with their cap situation.
Proposed Penguins lines:
Boyes/Crosby/Dupuis
Neal/Malkin/Kunitz
Sullivan/Staal/Cooke
Vitale/Adams/Jeffrey/Tangradi
Orpik/Letang
Michalek/Martin
Niskanen/Engelland/Despres
Thanks and keep up the good work,
Marty A.
OUR THOUGHTS:
Let's face it. Tyler Kennedy isn't going anywhere.
1. He is hurt.
2. No one is dumb enough to trade for him.
Brad Boyes is an interesting case, guy was once a 43 goal scorer. He has 3 goals this season for the Sabres. A move like this doesn't seem like a Shero move. Brad Boyes isn't just going to become a 43 goal scorer again. He is a UFA, which is really the only thing that is interesting about him.
