Gillies gets 9 games, Martin gets 4, NYI gets 100K fine

Maybe the biggest question is, where will the Islanders get $100,000?

 

 

Kind of a joke Gillies only gets 9 games. But just think about the look on Isles owner Charles Wang's face when they told him he owes 100k

 

But at least the NHL sees what any level-headed fan sees: The Islanders had nothing to lose, and their head coach was out of control and showed no professionalism, so it was a perfect storm.  Plus their coach looks like a high-school gym teacher.
