What they are saying about the SABRES:
I don't know. I don't know what the problem is. I do know that in a season where more of the team is underachieving, it's Jochen's underachievement that really bums me out on a personal level. He's not the one who the Sabres most need to play better in the second half - I think most of us can agree that that'd be Ryan Miller - but he's the one who I most want to play better. I don't know that it would super improve the Sabres, but it was make me happy. At this point, I would have zero problem with Terry Pegula coming in and dumping Jochen at the trade deadline. It makes perfectly fine sense. But I don't like it either. Sometimes being a fan stinks.
Season series: Penguins Lead 2-0.
Last meeting: December 11, 2010 - Penguins Won 5-2
Did Ryan Miller know there was a game last night? The emo Sabres goalie got outplayed, and badly, by Marc-Andre Fleury, who has gone from weak link to borderline Vezina candidate in one month. The Pens jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead then just laid in the cut. But they started making plays when they had to. Dustin Jeffrey did something other Wilkes-Barre players have done lately when they reach the Pens: contribute. Jeffery opened up the scoring, and he had the primary assist on Mike Rupp's huge insurance goal in the third.
That was the last win of the 12-game winning streak.
The Pens are currently on a four-game winning streak.
Five is better than four.
No Crosby, No Letestu
Terrible Towel night at the Arena.
The Sabres have won four of their last five.
Ryan Miller Sucks.
