Via Columbus Blue Jackets' General Manager Scott Howson's Twitter account:
Craig Patrick was the general manager of the Pittsburgh Penguins from 1989 to 2006. He also coached the Penguins on two occasions. He is a member of the Penguins "Ring of Honor" and he was the man who drafted Evgeni Malkin, Sidney Crosby, Marc-Andre Fleury, Brooks Orpik and others.
He was also responsible for some of the biggest trades in franchise history, for better or for worse.
