Last night was the Grand Opening of the Consol Center, and things were almost perfect. Almost.
Ed Rendell, the Pennsylvania Governor who gave Pens fans fits over the years in their quest for a new arena, got an up-close-and-personal introduction to the Consol Center's fresh ice after a phantom check from the hockey gods.
So essentially things were perfect.
