RINKOTOLOGY UPDATE 1.0
RINKOTOLOGY is exploding.
We have over 1,700 entries at 7:00 P.M. Monday.
If you're into that sort of thing, Digging the site is a good way to promote awareness.
We'd like to thank everyone once again for signing up and donating and spreading the word.
Searching for "rinkotology" on Google brings up almost 500 results.
Solid.
Now, a couple of questions have popped up regarding RINKOTOLOGY.
1) -- The main tiebreaker is based on who submits their bracket first.
That does not mean who registers first.
It means who finalizes their bracket first.
If you save it today at 6:30 PM and don't touch it again, that is your timestamp.
If you make last-minute changes on Wednesday, that's when your bracket will be stamped.
2) -- Just so we're clear, the bracket re-seeds itself after you make all four first-round picks.
The first round then turns into an NCAA-style bracket system, with series being paired off.
Going back and changing something in the first round will reset shit.
3) -- Sharing brackets
We are waiting till the bracket submissions are shut down before we implement this.
You'll be able to show your bracket to other people.
Basically, it's a long URL and you'll just change the username at the end of it.
For example:
rinkotology.org/boobsac+cheese:rm-rf/PENSBLOGCHARLIE
Accessing it will let you see that user's bracket.
So all you'll have to do is share your username in C-Blog.
Plus, once the standings are posted after the first round,
you'll be able to see other people near you in the standings and be able to see their bracket.
4) -- How sick is this thing?
We aren't gloating, because we had nothing to do with making the thing function.
We just had the idea.
The way the bracket works is unreal.
