These highlights don't do the emotions justice.

If you're going to Columbus for the game,
you will kill yourself if you don't click "Read More."

MATT S. informs us that The Flag will be headed to Columbus.

And he also passes this along:

Take this flyer to Mozaik after the game for a free beer.

Can't wait to see the flag there. Not sure where my seats are, but I don't care. Let's take the place over.

Do it.

Roadtripping from NC back home to PA for the Wild game. Really wish I could make it to Columbus as well.

I remember watching that game last year on Gamecenter. They were showing the Columbus feed and the announcers kept gushing about how Columbus had set an attendance record for that game, and how people were spilling over into the concourses. The PxP man kept saying to how the fans were so great and even said something similar to "There are some Pittsburgh fans here, but I don't care about them. This shows hockey is for real in Columbus." They left out the part where there were probably just as many Pens fans there as there were BJs fans.

anyone going to the game on Friday in Columbus? I'll be there wearing a Malkin jersey (I got it before he got the A, so there is no A on mine), and my twin cousins (I just bought them jerseys, one will have Crosby and the other Gonchar). Not sure where our seats are, I think they are on the edge of the Upper Bowl near one end of the ice. WOOOO Go Pens!

I cant wait to make it there. I dont know what our plans are as we are rushed to get there and everyone needs to be home the next day to work. Does anyone have a specific meeting place planned out? We can just meet at Mozaik take some pics with the flag then march into the blue jackets house and take that bitch over.

If I am correct, the Pens are wearing the baby blues for that game and so am I! I will wear my winter classic #87 jersey. See you at Mozaik on friday!

Our seats are standing room only C!0. We have the whole section I think. We went to the game there last year and stood in the same spot. You cant beat $25 bucks a ticket.

I approve of how The Flag is capitalized proper-like, as in you need not ask which flag it is.

When somebody mentions "The Flag", you just know.

Speaking of going to games.....
Saturday is my first Pens game. Anyone have any information that will make my experience go a little easier? Any help would be great.

Meeting up with Pens fans would be fun, but is Mosaik as full of douches as Diesel is?

We'll be there in 218. If anyone is in that area look for a group of three girls and a guy. I'll be the one in the #66 gold throwback sweater snatching towels out of the hands of Jackets fans and hurling them into the lower bowl.

Like what? Where to park, where to go in, etc.?

I'm so excited for the game...a friend of mine and I are driving in and meeting my best friend that lives in Columbus for the game. I'm hoping to take Charlie with me too - we have lower bowl seats, so maybe with Charlie's help we'll make it on tv.

@DA yes like the best place to park. Best ways to go to get around traffic. Best time to get there.

I like to park in the Chatham Center garage, which is underneath the Marriott. It's $10 and pretty much right across the street from the arena. Go down a level or two unless you want to spend a great deal of time getting to know the inside of the garage after the game. There's also a garage on Forbes (I think it's on Forbes) attached to Sammy's that's easy walking distance. It's a smaller garage but it's only $6. There are garages at Duquesne as well but I've never parked there so I don't know how much they cost. If you want to tailgate try to get into one of the outdoor Mellon Arena lots unless dying of exhaust fumes sounds like your idea of a good time.

As far as getting around traffic, I'd normally say good luck. However since it's Saturday you should be fine. I don't know which direction you're coming from but if it's from the west/airport area I prefer to go through South Side and across the 10th Street Bridge and through the Armstrong Tunnel rather than bother with the parkway/Ft. Pitt Bridge. The West End Circle is a total clusterfuck right now, though, so if you're from out of town (sorry...you didn't mention where you're from) you might want to avoid it. I have lived here all my life and I can't figure out what the fuck is going on down there half the time or which direction I'm supposed to be going.

Gates open at 6:30. Obviously the earlier you get there the fewer unwashed masses of humanity you'll have to deal with in the concourses (and they do get crowded to the point where you feel like taking a swing at someone the closer you get to puck drop). Don't even bother trying to get into Pens Station if you get there after 7PM.

Unrelated: the interference that Detroit gets away with when Tomas Holmstrom stands right on top of the goalie is total bullshit.

As soon as the schedule came out, I put some serious thought into going to Columbus for the game. I'm kinda wish I would have just impulse bought some tickets so I had to go. The next game that's the closest is Philly on the 17th of December if I'm looking at this thing right. If I'm still Kevin Lowe rich then, I can see myself taking the trip out. Anyone else plan on going? I guess a better question would be, is anyone gonna help me out if I go there and get stabbed? I figure it's far enough away where I won't pay a grand for a ticket. Spending a night in a hospital in America's asshole is basically what I'm most concerned with.

Thanks DA. Thats exactly what I wanted to know.

Oh man, this looks AMAZING! When I planned this trip, I had no idea so many Pens fans would be going! I'm not sure I'll be able to get to that pre / post game party, since I'm flying in from NY and staying with relatives I've never even met, but if I can talk them into it, sounds like a GREAT time! I'll be sure to look for The Flag.

I wish I were going to the game...

That way I'd be able to have my Pens Rally Towel ripped out of my hands prior to getting the snot knocked out of me!

Oh wait... that only happens at Buffalo, er... Philly, er... Pens home games.

Random hockey stuffs..

Craig Anderson has been unreal in Colorado. He posted a 25 save shutout against the Edmonton Swine Fl.. er Oilers.

Brucie Boudreau put Ovechkin, Backstrom, and Semin back together last night and they combined for 9 points. Ovechomo had 2 goals and Backstrom had a goal and 3 assists.

Think that line can take them deep into the playoffs if healthy? Or will the inability to prevent scoring ultimately hose them again?

Can't wait to see the Pens Universe take over Nationwide on Friday once again. Last season's game was intense!

Also there's a Party on the Plaza out front of Nationwide Arena from 4p-7p before the game :)

This will be my third season as a Pens season ticket holder, and while I've gone to games for many years, Friday night will be my first out of town game. I'm so excited and can't wait to see the Nationwide Arena look like the Pens home on the road! Do it!

I am in 218 row M. I went to school at OSU, and yes Mozaik is filled with D Bags. Great pregame atmosphere at a bar called " R Bar". Good game day specials. Should be there around 5.
