GAMEDAY 4 - FLYERS

7:00

Wachovia Center
Here's the video the Flyers played before their home opener:
What that video tells us is that Flyers hockey is...
Determined
Ferocious
Punishing
Ruthless
Merciless
Vicious
Relentless
We don't see the words "Talented," "Successful," "Skilled," "Victorious," or surprisingly "Leadership" anywhere in there.
But it does tell you a few things about what the Flyers, and their fans, want out of their team.
They want violence. They want fights. They want brutality.
And, if after all of the bloodshed, the Flyers manage to win that's good too.
We don't have to sit here and give you reasons to hate the Flyers.
You hate them already.

[At PSU]
The Flyers are 3-0 on the season so far.
They've beaten the Capitals, Devils and Hurricanes, scoring a total of 13 goals in those three games and allowing seven.
Ray Emery and Chris Pronger were the big offseason signings for Philly.
Pronger especially was touted as being the man who will stop Sidney Crosby.
Tonight will be his first chance as a Flyer.
There are apparently still tickets available.
The team is offering $25 tickets to anyone with a ticket stub from today's Phillies game.
Riley Cote, Arron Asham and Ole-Kristian Tollefsen will be in the line-up for Philly.
Blair Betts, James van Riesmdyk and Danny Syvret will sit.
It should be a close game but, for Scott Hartnell's sake, we hope it doesn't go into a shootout:

The Penguins lines will be:
Chris Kunitz - Sidney Crosby - Billy Guerin
Pascal Dupuis - Evgeni Malkin - Ruslan Fedotenko
Matt Cooke - Jordan Staal - Tyler Kennedy
Mike Rupp - Craig Adams - Eric Godard
Brooks Orpik - Sergei Gonchar
Mark Eaton - Kris Letang
Jay McKee - Alex Goligoski
Marc-Andre Fleury

We're late on this, but Stan Savran had quadruple bypass surgery.
The Wings signed Brad May.
The Pens signed Simon Despres.

Burn the place down.

Do it.
Go Pens.
