This is the Canadiens' last regular season game in the Igloo.

They were the Penguins very first regular season opponent and they played in the first regular season game in Mellon Arena history.

That night - October 11th, 1967 - the Penguins lost 2-1 to Montreal.

We've posted this before, but this is the story of that first game:

"Kris Letang, who has been sidelined since Nov. 7 with a shoulder contusion, was cleared for contact Wednesday morning. Letang had been practicing wearing a no "no contact" jersey. However, his shoulder has been deemed healthy enough to handle physical battles.

There is no return date set but it is no doubt a positive step towards getting healthier.

Tyler Kennedy, who has missed the team's past nine games with an undisclosed injury, has also been participating in full practice.

Head coach Dan Bylsma ruled both Letang and Kennedy out for Wednesday's showdown with the Canadiens "
On the injury front around the league, Marian Hossa and Eric Staal are making their returns tonight.

Carey Price will be in goal for the Habs tonight.

Scott Gomez, Jaroslav Spacek, Andrei Markov, Hal Gill, Brian Gionta, Matt D'Agostini and Benoit Pouliot are injured for Montreal.
Georges Laraque is suspended.

Do it.

Go Pens.
