The Wings, luck or not, won Game one.
But in typical Wing fashion. That isn't good enough. There always has to be some rhetoric:
Is Mike Babcock serious?
He came out with the quote of the series. [Some paper]
"To me the battle they had going last night between Zetterberg and Crosby was a great battle, I thought,'' Babcock said. "I thought (Crosby) went head hunting right off the hop. His ability to respond was good. I think that's a game within the game. If you're a hockey purist and you like superstars who bring it, that's a nice match up.''
Honestly is calling Sidney Crosby a "head hunter," a smart thing to do?
You have the Pens frustrated. You have them in a hole. You beat them last year.
And now you're calling their Captain a head hunter?
It seems almost excessive at this point.
Clearly Bing knows what Babcock is trying to do:
“I’m not going to get involved with his games,” said Crosby, who was also involved an incident when he slashed Detroit centre Kirk Maltby at the whistle. “He can say whatever he wants. I don’t think I’ve been known as a headhunter throughout my career. So, he’s the first one ever to say that. That’s interesting stuff.”
Very calculated move by head coach Babcock.
He may have gotten into Crosby's head.
But he might have also fired up the entire Penguins team.
Jump.

TSN has the projected lines for both teams:

Lemieux revealed yesterday that he started working out two months ago. A third comeback as a player is as unlikely as his ownership group selling the Penguins.

Still, despite a chronic back condition that never has completely healed and two surgically-repaired hips, Lemieux, 44, is smiling like a man counting the days until he can take another larger-than-life picture.

Nah.................

For god's sakes think about what you're doin'. Why are you listening to some crtic that's a hundred thousand miles away? We're here. No body down there can help us. So if we don't get this job done, then everybody's gone.
Come on, God, just a little help. It's all we're asking.
