GAMEDAY 63 - SABRES

7:30 PM
Mellon Arena

We'll get this out of the way first:
There will be no wet dream Olympic rematch between Crosby & Miller tonight, unless something goes terribly wrong for Buffalo.
Patrick Lalime is starting for the Sabres.
Brent Johnson will be in net for the Penguins.
Marc-Andre Fleury is probably resting after all of the action he saw in team Canada's net during the Olympics.
Max Talbot should be back in the line up.

A hockey gold medal found its way to Pittsburgh after all, courtesy of Sidney Crosby:

Jordan Leopold will wear number four on the Penguins.

Somewhere, we suspect that someone is in the process of a frantic tape job on a Rob Scuderi jersey.

This is the Sabres' last regular season visit to the Igloo.
Their first game here was the very first in their history.
On October 10, 1970, the Buffalo Sabres defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins 2-1 in the Civic Arena.
The Pens most recent game against the Sabres was a 5-4 victory on February 1st.
Buffalo is currently only one point behind the Penguins in the Eastern Conference and also one point behind the Ottawa Senators for the Northeast Division lead.
Speaking of the Senators, today they traded their second round draft pick to the New York Islanders for Andy Sutton.
The trade deadline is tomorrow and we will have a live blog going the entire day.

Do it.
Go Pens.
