Penguins sign Brookbank, Curry and Smith

All three will likely play mostly in WBS this season.

Brookbank joins Eric Godard and Mike Rupp in the Pens organization.
Add in the possibility of Paul Bissonnette occasionally playing in Pittsburgh as well and the options for the fourth line look pretty scary.

We wonder if Bobby Clarke would approve.

Of course, in his eyes it's still 1975 and none of those players have been born yet.

Speak of toughness on the Pens, how awesome is Matt Cooke?
"A quick stop at the Beer Store provided some entertainment. Matt spotted a guy wearing a Henrik Zetterberg jersey. 'I gotta get this guy,' Matt said, so he drove up near the red and white jersey and held the Stanley Cup aloft. The guy's jaw hit the pavement — he couldn't believe his eyes. 'That shoulda been ours,' shouted the dumbfounded fan, laughing as Matt drove away."
Stunned.

On Monday the Penguins official site will start putting the radio broadcasts of the playoffs online.

How many 23 year olds have a Stanley Cup, an Art Ross Trophy and a Conn Smythe to go with their Calder Trophy?
We have no idea, but probably not very many.

Cabbie's Journey to the Cup:

We found that on Puck Huffers.
