SITE LAYOUT
The backbone of the site is some insane program called JOOMLA. Wiki
It's a big deal.
The creator of the network set us up, and we took over.
SITE CONTENT
This blog network differs from many of its "rivals" in the sense that it doesn't take over our content in any way.
We've conformed to a "network-wide" layout to a degree, but our content has not been sacrificed.
The only stipulation is not using pornographic images.
Pictures of two men engaging in a loving kiss are not pornographic.
COMMENTING
The top-right corner of this site is a login window.
Go ahead and register. You're C-Blog name and PW will not work.
You'll get an activation e-mail and shit.
Once you activate your account, go to "PROFILE" at the far right of the top nav bar.
You'll be able to customize your account and upload an avatar there.
For whatever reason, we have to moderate each profile image.
Patience. We will moderate three or four times a day.
The comments section is money in the bank.
The page you're on doesn't entirely reload when you comment.
You can add pictures to your comments and be able to link to sites with ease.
BIGGEST C-BLOG CHANGE:
Timestamps start when someone starts typing.
If Stoosh is dominating something, but we go in and type "woo" 5 seconds after he starts, we'll temporarily be posted above his comment until he would finish typing.
Timestamps are messed up right now. Bug city.
ACTIVE COMMENTORS
On the left, you'll see an "Active Commentors" section.
Speaks for itself. Awesome addition.
*If you have a long name, it bounces our template over. Working on fix.
FLASHBLOG
Pretty much everything in the menus of Flashblog is now in the top navigational bar.
We wanted to be able to have the menus drop down with a click, rather than a mouse-over, which can be annoying.
We haven't figured that out yet. It annoys us, too.
One of the few downsides of this move is not having the freedom to post random pics at the top of the site.
We'll live.
VIDEOBLOG
Over on the right, you'll see Videoblog.
It grabs from videos we've favorited on YouTube.
Awesome addition.
READ MORE
We've added "Read More" links to posts for everyone's sake.
Clicking it or the post title takes you to a two-column page, like the old-old tPB used to be.
Awesome again.
When you see a new post, just click the title immediately.
