Somehow, the NHL All-Star Game lived up to the hype that we admittedly didn't feel.
That doesn't even make sense. But it did.
Malkin seemed to be one of only a few players who tried some different moves during the game.
The classy Montreal fans didn't know that you should cheer for both teams, resulting in an awkward celebration of the West's first goal of the game.
Canadien Mike Komisarek was almost the goat of the game, taking the first penalty in an ASG since 2000.
But the East's penalty kill was up to the task.
The entire game was played whatev, but the overtime was as intense as an ASG can get.
A.O. takes it for the East in the shootout.
Kovy wins the MVP.
Highlights of Malkin's sick goal after the jump.
Big time move.
Don't mind big mouth Brian Burke in the background.
Malkin seemed to have a lot of fun.
And playing with Kovy, even if only in an exhibition game, is nothing but good for him.
We remember when people were flipping out a few years ago when Malkin had a bad YoungStars game.
He finished the game with just one goal, but he was flying.
And what can you even say about Kovalev?
There isn't a Penguin fan around who wouldn't take him back.
To wrap things up, someone posted this on LGP.
Is Malkin almost as tall as Chara?
Obviously not, but still.
Beast.
Go Pens.
