Miroslav Satan will make his Penguins playoff debut in game five.
According to Penguins.NHL.com, Petr Sykora will not be in the line-up tonight and Satan will suit up in his place.
Satan last played for Pittsburgh in a March 3rd game in Tampa Bay.
"It's a difficult situation. The coach has to make those decisions. They're not easy ones but I'm the guy that gets to make them," said Dan Bylsma. "We feel like this will give us a better chance in certain circumstances, to get a different look. Miro is going to get that opportunity tonight to go in there and play some meaningful minutes for us."
"The decisions that we made today were not based on injuries."
Sykora told the Tribune-Review that he is "perfectly healthy" and seemed surprised by the change.
"I'm surprised," said Sykora. "[Bylsma] told me right before practice that I'm not playing."
"I have no idea why," Sykora said. "I know it's playoffs so lets not talk about personal reasons. Let's talk when the playoffs are over."
Sykora has struggled recently. He has zero points and is a -2 so far in the playoffs. He only had 8:21 in ice time on Tuesday night and did not play at all in the final eight minutes of the game.
Also, Kris Letang, who was injured in game four, will be a game-time decision.
Philippe Boucher will replace Letang if necessary.
