At about this time tomorrow, you won't be able to focus on anything.
School, work, your significant other... they'll all be ignored in favor of Penguins hockey.
Hopefully your significant other was with you during last year's playoff run
so he or she will be used to it by now.
The Stanley Cup Playoffs are one day away.
NHL.com has an audio preview/conference call of the Stanley Cup Finals
with Don Cherry, Pierre McGuire, Mike Milbury and Eddie Olczyk.
The douchebaggery of the panel is matched only by the terrible audio quality.
Back in our infancy in 2006,
we made a list of the top 10 Penguin playoff goals and playoff killers.
Looking back on it in preparation for this post,
we can't even fathom why people started reading our crap.
There is limited video, audio, and even pics for those goals.
But since then, the internet has gotten bigger than God.
YouTube is its own planet.
It was time to update.
Top-ten lists and numbering never works, so we removed the numbering, as well.
RINKOTOLOGY is exploding.
We have over 1,700 entries at 7:00 P.M. Monday.
If you're into that sort of thing, Digging the site is a good way to promote awareness.
We'd like to thank everyone once again for signing up and donating and spreading the word.
Searching for "rinkotology" on Google brings up almost 500 results.
Now, a couple of questions have popped up regarding RINKOTOLOGY.
1) -- The main tiebreaker is based on who submits their bracket first.
That does not mean who registers first.
It means who finalizes their bracket first.
If you save it today at 6:30 PM and don't touch it again, that is your timestamp.
If you make last-minute changes on Wednesday, that's when your bracket will be stamped.
2) -- Just so we're clear, the bracket re-seeds itself after you make all four first-round picks.
The first round then turns into an NCAA-style bracket system, with series being paired off.
Going back and changing something in the first round will reset shit.
3) -- Sharing brackets
We are waiting till the bracket submissions are shut down before we implement this.
You'll be able to show your bracket to other people.
Basically, it's a long URL and you'll just change the username at the end of it.
Accessing it will let you see that user's bracket.
So all you'll have to do is share your username in C-Blog.
Plus, once the standings are posted after the first round,
you'll be able to see other people near you in the standings and be able to see their bracket.
4) -- How sick is this thing?
We aren't gloating, because we had nothing to do with making the thing function.
We just had the idea.
The way the bracket works is unreal.

The playoffs can't start soon enough.
Never before has a Wednesday seemed so far away.
For those who haven't seen it,
the NHL has released the playoff schedule:
All of the Versus games will be shown locally on FSN Pittsburgh.
NHL.com has also introduced the PORTAL (Playoff Obsession Raised To Another Level)
in order to provide in depth coverage of the playoffs.
We're still debating whether or not the acronym is clever or retarded.
As part of their coverage, they've posted an interview with Sidney Crosby.
Everyone has kept up their end of the bargain in the donations department,
as we are very close to being halfway there.
Now it is time to unleash the monster that is RINKOTOLOGY.

First things, first.
Congrats to Geno Malkin. He has won the Art Ross scoring trophy. Incredible season.
This is the 13th time a Penguins has won the award.
We're going to be short because there doesn't need to be alot said.
The difference between playing Marty Biron or Marty Brodeur was Carey Price falling apart faster than Heroes.
What a joke performance. Have fun getting rocked by Boston.
The Canadians weren't even in the same league as the Pens tonight.
The Pens scored two short handed goals in the third period. One by Max Talbot, one by Legame.
Pascal Dupuis was out of his mind.
With the win, the Penguins will be facing the Flyers in the first round of the playoffs.
The Flyers play today. If they win, they get the home ice.
If they lose. Mellon Arena city.
You're hear some people say, "I wanted the Flyers," or "The Flyers scare me."
Look, it is the NHL playoffs. We don't want the Pens to play anyone, we wish we could close our eyes and see them win the cup.
You're going to have to go through the Flyers eventually. From a pure hockey perspective, this is going to be a great series.
From a hate perspective, hold on to your ovaries.
Last Anthem pics of the regular season.
dmb, Elisa H, Carrol T.
Last year we made a sweet Anthem pic montage, we set it to some Van Halen song.
Well turns out Van Halen or Youtube got pissed, complained about us using the song, and removed the video.
This year reader TK made a video of an anthem pic of everygame, set to Jeff Jimmerson's national anthem:
Pretty sick stuff.
Thanks to everyone who sent pics in all year.
We just got our first chance to play with the Rinkotogoly bracket, and it is sick.
We saw some people asking in CBLOG. And yes, it DOES reseed itself.
We won't say what time it will be up tonight, because we are still debugging.

Huge next few days. One From The Heart and Against the Odds Marathons coming soon.
P.S. Happy Easter.
7:00PM - Bell Centre
It's been a long ride.
It's hard to believe that we're going into game number 82.
It's the last game of the regular season.
The next stop is the playoffs.
The Habs are eighth in the Eastern Conference.
The Pens are sixth.
The Penguins are 1-2 against the Habs this year, but Montreal has lost three in a row going into tonight's game.
