Official: Jaromir Jagr Traded to Boston Bruins

Posted by Rick on .

EDIT: It's now official:

Original post:

Because this would set the stage for the Bruins eliminating the Penguins from the playoffs far too nicely.

Just imagine the Boston Bruins meeting the Pittsburgh Penguins in the Eastern Conference Final. While the media is preoccupied with the storyline of Iginla choosing the Pens over the Bruins, Jaromir Jagr scores a huge goal in game seven to send the Bruins to the Cup Final.

Then throw up all over yourself and wake up.

Days of Y'Orr is already on JagrWatch2013.

Iginla wants to re-sign with Pens, tweets some french guy

Jarome Iginla wants to re-sign in Pittsburgh:

Kinda of a weird tweet, but Renaud is dialed in. Plus he tweets in french so he wouldn't be committed to a lie in two lanuages.

Lots of ways to go on this, but it certainly sounds like a Hossa-like offseason awaits after the playoffs.

Re-signing Iginla isn't as hard as what people say. Even though the Pens have to re-sign Malkin and Letang Iginla could no question fit inside the cap if he really wants to really stay here.

Randy Carlyle: Is Crosby's Broken Jaw the "Hockey Gods Sending a Message?"

Posted by Rick on .

Yeah, there isn't much going on, so here's this via Kevin McGran of the Toronto Star:

We're not entirely sure what that means. We're also really curious as to what message the "hockey gods" were trying to send when Joffrey Lupul was injured by a shot from a teammate.
