Team Pensblog Wins First Elite Playoffs
On a late weeknight, four members of Team Pensblog logged onto Xbox Live.
Little did they know that their leading scorer would talk them into beginning the playoffs one evening early.
Starting at left wing - Eric P.
Center - Hobo Joe
Right wing - Mikie
Defenseman - Sniper
Sniper: "I don't think I want to play playoffs tonight. I'm too tired."
Mikie: "You only live once, man. Don't worry, I'll play okay."
Eric: "Let's go."
Joe: [silently continues munching on his Funyons]
Game 1 was against The Antiheroes.
Based out of Toronto, Ontario.
Joe, although getting raped continuously in the faceoff circle, pulled off a pretty productive game.
Eric brought the power forward game, 4 points, 6 hits.
Sniper - brick wall on defense.
Game 2 against Team Quebec AAA.
Based out of glitch city.
Eric another big performance with his first career post-season hat trick, and registering 7 hits.
Sniper strong defensviely, penalty killing lead to victory ultmiately.
Game 3 against Premium Plus.
Based out of Toronto Canada, with one Pittsburgh born player starting at LW.
Losing, comeback after 2nd period intermission -- ERIC LEAD , FLIP OUT
Eric landed a devastating 14 hits.
Minute left, point shot deflected by Joe - "Hooossaa"
Another strong game by Sniper from the back side.
Huge comeback victory moved them into the finals.
Game 4, final, against XBSHL FLAMES.
Based out of Harrisonburg, Virgina.
Joe scores the go-ahead goal with two minutes to go in regulation, and the party erupts.
Mikie bangs some stripper and adds a goal via the wrist shot with a minute to go, to seal the deal.
Game over.
