GAMEDAY: GOLD MEDAL GAME - USA vs Canada

3:00 pm on NBC, live from Vancouver.


Tried to type out a big post about the "this is good for the growth of hockey in America" card.
No idea what we were talking about.

If you really think about this, this game should be like Mighty Ducks 6. Wouldn't some of these players have played in the "Junior Goodwill Games" in 1994?  How did Iceland even get invited to those games?  Where was Canada?
If Ron Wilson knows what's best for him, Adam Banks plays on the first line tonight.

Enjoy this game, because as of 11:59 tonight, the NHL roster freeze is over and the madness really begins.

Kiprusoff did not help the cause.

And after Kipper's performance, he may not be getting the nod in the Bronze game.
Needs Kipper to start today in order to stay alive.

The shutout by Miller would have vaulted JERRPERLIS to 3rd place, albeit 3.7 points behind first place.
For the Gold Medal, since a shutout by Miller translates to 0 points by Crosby, JEFFPERLIS is left in a tough spot here.

He needs Sid to show up on the scoresheet.
And a shootout to rack up points for each goalie save.

A feature being added to the Playoff version is being able to create groups or "leagues."

We noticed this immediately when everyone involved in developing Rinko wanted to partake in a side-bet.
The "follow" feature is great, but there's a better way to implement it.

Miller DOES NOT Get Shutout Credit

"A shutout is given to a team whose goaltender successfully prevents the other team from scoring and plays the entire game."

The only documentation we can provide is that this explanation is widely accepted in the Series Of Tubes.

If you're jacked about this, please provide documentation of the rule being interpreted differently.
