It's been over a day since the Gonchar injury was announced and everything appears to be still standing.

Max Talbot filmed a new commercial for A&L Motors.

More stuff after the jump.

Jobber(s) Of The Week : AP Reporters

Posted by #test on .

Meet Balloon Boy's neighbor:

He is pissed off because the media is jobbing his peace.  Totally legit.
Then media members start provoking him.

The guy is just having a bad moment. But then it gets worse:

And that's where we have our jobber(s) of the week.

The AP reporters.  Three of them.

The guy in the yellow.
What exactly warranted bringing out some unreal finishing move?
And what about the guy on the phone?  He clearly elbowed the dude's car.

Or this guy that starts jobbing the neighbor when he is locked up?

Classic third man in.

What makes the guy in the yellow seem like the biggest jobber
is that he had this great takedown, but then couldn't hold it.

And how is it that everyone starts flipping out
when the dude gets punched in the face?

What a performance by the neighbor.

Go Pens.

Sergei Gonchar Out Four to Six Weeks With Broken Wrist

Posted by Rick on .

He was injured yesterday on a hit from St. Louis' David Backes.

A six week absence would mean that he would return in the beginning of December.

In his place, Martin Skoula will be making his Penguins debut on Friday night against Florida.

On a night where the Penguins were aware of fighting cancer,
the only disease in the building was the St. Louis Blues.

Very rarely do you see a team so completely unprepared to play a hockey game.
Other than the Pens-Coyotes game this season.

The Pens stared imposing their will about five minutes into the game,
and St. Louis did nothing but bend over and take it.

If John Davidson is still alive, he'll surely be upset.

This victory pushes the Pens to 8-1.
Fleury made 4 saves to push his own record to 8-0.

Here's where we copy and paste our mantra
about the journey we all take during of an NHL season.

There's highs and lows, blah blah blah.
There will be bad games, blah blah blah.

There will be tribulations to overcome, blah blah -- Oop.
Sergei Gonchar left the game in the second period and did not return.
Per the Trib and PG, Gonch has a hand or wrist injury; a broken bone somewhere possibly.

Using e-mail correspondence from people at the game and our own DVR,
we prematurely stated on Twitter during the game that it was a wrist injury.

It kind of blew up everywhere and reached Grover on The X post-game.
What a mistake. We're ne'er to do it again.
It's not anyone's fault; just a perfect storm.

The Pens are expected to announce something on Wednesday.
Recap after the jump.

Gonch Hurt, Status Unknown, Don't Listen To Us

Posted by #test on .

Obviously the news from the Penguin game is all about Gonch, and his injury.

We wanted to clear something up.

We were at the game, and watched Gonch go to the locker room. Several people emailed us that it was a broken wrist.
They said they heard the doctors who rushed by them mention it.

It is all hearsay.

We're not Eklund. We have no inside info.

The Pens will announce tomorrow what the deal is.

For all we know, Gonch didn't want to play anymore because the Blues suck so bad.

Recap in the am.

Peace.

Mellon Arena

Listen to the game at [WXDX]

If you have any questions for Mike Lange, Phil Bourque or Bob Gove join the Penguins Radio Network Facebook page.
You can submit questions via the discussion tab for the Crash the Net segments or Penguins Hotline after the game.

Tonight is a Student Rush game.

Jay McKee is a former Blue.
Ty Conklin and Darryl Sydor are former Penguins.

We figured we'd get that out of the way right now.

Conklin won't be starting tonight however.

The first story comes from Bobby I.

"Well it all began back in the winter of 2005. Me and a friend of mine were regulars in the student rush line during the glory days were people in the line that went knew who rico fata was. At this time you did not have to arrive at 2pm, but rather 430 and still get a ticket. We used to see mike lange hop out of his cadillac and vodka bottles roll out.

Phil Bourque flex his pectoral muscles at the college girls, but we became friends with staggy and stan. They literaly saw us every game and would always talk to us. Sports beat was going to be filmed outside one night during the games, drunk and rather excited we thought how can we get on tv.

Thats when i came up with the bright idea to walk up and ask stan if i could get married on the show. A girl from my town happened to be in the line that night and she decided she would play along with it. Stan asked me if i being serious and wildly enough he said sure. So in the middle of sports beat i have a fake ring from a gumball machine, a girl who is crazy enough to go along with it, and a tv show for my entertainment. Just before commercial break stan says we have something special when we come back. As soon as they came back and dan potash interviewed a towel from the other teams locker room, because this is who he interviews, Stan said bobby is going to play trivia.

This is when i entered the frame and all penguined out was given a microphone were i dropped the bomb on the seemingly unsuspecting girl. This led to huge applause from the student rush line and a chuckle from stan. I also got a kiss in there, but otherwise the pens kicked ass and won like 5-2. The next day i attended chemistry class at PSU Beaver when a kid actually witnessed it happen and called it out to the class. The best was my grandfather watching the show and telling my entire family he thought i was getting married though, haha. I have included a pic someone snapped from that night.

The igloo, some of the best days of my life."
