Last Tuesday Of Peace

Posted by Pensblog Staff on .

Next Tuesday someone will be pissed off because the Pens are 1-1.  The Tuesday after that, someone will overturn their computer desk because Pascal Dupuis missed an open net.

Its time to rock and roll.

go Pens.

P.S. the Pens signed Ryan Bayda.
We'd have the link but the Pens website is still loading. Defy your sac.

The Big Screen Returns for The Banner Raising

The 2009/2010 NHL season is just around the corner.

And someone had better alert NBC because the big screen in front of Mellon Arena is coming back.

Best Places To Watch Pens Games Around The World

Posted by Pensblog Staff on .

[Foley's Bar up in NYC]

We occasionally get emails asking about the best bars to watch Pens games all across the world.

Truth? We don't usually leave our houses let alone the state for games. But the thing we have come to realize is that their are Pens fans everywhere.

We were going to have everyone email us bars and shit. But that would require us doing work.

So, we'll leave it up to cblog. We'll put this post up in the title bar, and in cblog list some of your favorite places.

That way we don't do any work, and some info gets out there.

Woooooo

p.s. you can post Pittsburgh bars too.

PRESEASON GAME DAY 6 - RED WINGS

Joe Louis Arena

Weren't we just here?

Penguins and Red Wings.
There really isn't much else to say at this point.

The last time these two teams walked into this arena for a game against one another, the Stanley Cup was in attendance.
Tonight will be different.

Tonight's game will not match the intensity of game seven in the Stanley Cup Final.
It would be pretty hard to match that, especially in the preseason.

Bing will likely be a game time decision.

One looks like he's suffering from constipation and diarrhea at the same time.
One looks like he's from the opening credits of Law & Order.
One looks like his life partner just broke up with him.
And one just saw that some dude is writing shit on his girlfriend's Facebook wall.

The Great One stepped down as coach of the Coyotes.
First time a rat jumped from a ship after it sunk.

Just an FYI.

Last year, the Pens marketing revolved around "It's A Great Day For Hockey."
This year, it's "Defy Ordinary."

And the new-look Pens website is in the best shape of its life.

The Anarchists Aren't Making The Playoffs

Posted by Pensblog Staff on .

There is nothing better than watching people fail.
Especially people that declare themselves anarchists.

After all the idle threats, the anarchists basically pulled a Cam Ward and shit themselves.

As of midnight, last-ditch efforts by anarchists have been thwarted by police.

We the Pensblog are also urging Mayor G20STAHL to sign a law into effect
that will allow police to use wrestling finishing moves on protesters.

This is all we will remember G-20 for.

Go Pens.

If you haven't heard about Crosby's groin situation yet,
you're getting your news from the wrong website.  AP

No one believes this is anything serious.
The Pens lost the game, 5-2.

Things are really gonna be kicking into gear around here in the next week.
Get ready.  Or don't.

Nationwide Arena

Dan Bylsma has said that the final two preseason games would be "dress rehearsals" for the regular season.

Two more games until the regular season?
Amazing.

Meanwhile, the G20 is taking over the city.
But that doesn't mean people aren't thinking about the Penguins:
