A cop in Dearborn, Michigan stole some marijuana.
Then he called 911.

Sure it's from 2007, but whatev.

Some news headlines after the jump.

Chris Kunitz does all the little things.
He is one of the best at being in position for the breakout pass in the Pens zone.
He is a plus player.
He pays back opponents that unload big hits on his teammates.

Despite his exploits, Kunitz's name has been popping up
in the headlines and on joke message boards:

Thats why it was all the sweeter when he beat Cam Ward
to secure a win for the Pens in the shootout.

But whoops. It won't even show up on his season stats.
If you're unhappy with Chris Kunitz's production, go to hell.

The World Champs have started the season 6-1.
And people still have to bitch about something.
Suck it.

This win completes a perfect 4-game road trip.
Pens have won their first 5 road games of the season for the first time ever.
MAF is 6-0.

7:00 PM

RBC Center

Listen to the game at [WXDX]

The Penguins Radio Network wanted us to mention this.
If you have any questions for Mike Lange, Phil Bourque or Bob Gove join their Facebook page [Penguins Radio Network]
You can submit questions via the discussion tab for the Crash the Net segments or Penguins Hotline after the game.

It's the second Staal VS. Staal game of the year.
The first one was overshadowed by some banner, so this is really your first chance to get really drunk.

It also gives us a chance to post this:

And this:

Sure, those were last year and they mean nothing in relation to tonight's game, but that doesn't make them any less amazing.

And don't for a second think that Carolina doesn't remember all of that.
As we mentioned earlier today, this is probably a big game for them.
Much like November 11th last year when the Pens played the Wings for the first time since the 2008 Final, the Hurricanes probably circled this date on their calendars as soon as the schedule came out.

That said, as the defending Champions, a lot of teams probably circled the Pens on their schedules.

O.M.G.

What an underrated moment in the playoffs. Before the ECF last year, Cam Ward's balls were rubbed down before every game by the media.
Then the Pens shit in his mouth.

Return to the RBC tonight. It's probably a big game for the Hurricanes.
Just another game for the world champs.

The Pens have posted a couple new "Defy Ordinary" videos on their website.

"It's a Great Day for Hockey" they are not, but they're still interesting.

In the year 918, Christopher Columbus helped build the Hanging Gardens of Babylon.
Then he headed to the Indies.
Too bad he failed massively and landed in the Americas.

But the joke thinks he landed in the Indies and starts calling the natives "Indians."
White people are idiots.

How could this dude perform a massive fail and get a day named after him?
A day on which a bill is paid late 'cause you forget banks are closed?

Little known fact: Columbus actually found Ottawa first.
But didn't want to stop there because he was afraid he'd get AIDS.
What a suit.

As for the game, it was another unreal example of the Pens' depth.
Malkin and Bing were held to 0 points, but the Pens rolled.

Mr. Kennedy had two goals.
Staal has a goal in 3 straight games.
Billy Guerin put one home.

And how big of joke are the Senators? If we suspected any NHL player of doing steriods, it would be Jonathan Cheechoo. He had 56 goals, and now he needs a GPS to find the net. We hate Dany Heatley as much as anyone, but the Senators aren't even remotely the same team without him.

And for those keeping score at home, this is three straight road games
where the Pens have made the fans boo the home team.

Pens have started the season 4-0 on the road.
They play in Carolina on Wednesday then come home for 5 games.

MAF is 5-0.

Jump.

GAMEDAY 6 - SENATORS

Posted by Rick on .

7:30PM

Scotiabank Place

Remember a couple of years ago when we almost considered Ottawa a rival?
That didn't last long.

Today is Canadian Thanksgiving so, since the game is in Canada, let's give thanks that Ray Shero is the GM of the Penguins and not Bryan Murray.
Murray could run a course on how to let the salary cap turn a superstar-filled contender into a joke.
Besides, if he ran Pittsburgh he'd probably have the word "PENS" plastered across the blue third jerseys.

Despite everything, the Senators are 3-1 and currently sit at second place in the East, two points behind the Penguins.
The Senators have beaten the Leafs, Islanders and Thrashers this year.
