Karma Police

Posted by Pensblog Staff on .

Now in all seriousness, the Penguins losing to the Sharks in San Jose is no surprise. It is Karma still paying the Pens back for the humiliation they used to inflict on the Sharks. Nothing was better when you were 10 or 11 and staying up to watch late games on KBL. The games were over within the first 10 seconds. Buries It would have like 3 goals before you'd turn around.

To prove the point:
[courtsey of PENS UNIVERSE]

49 points in  14 games.

Anyways, whatev. Pens return home this week. Thank god.

We got nothing else, so check out this cool video youtube guru DayWalkr3 captured.
Inspired from Bings save against the ducks.

Top ten saves by NHL players.

Now excuse us. We have to find some medicine for our tongues. Hurt them licking stamps so we could mail it in this weekend.

It's November, so the Sharks are good.

They're 11-4-2 and had won six straight before losing to Detroit on Thursday.

They've only lost back-to-back games once this season and, though they've played one more game, they have the same number of points as the Pens.

The Pens haven't lost back-to-back this year yet.

Also, Dany Heately is now a Shark, so many of our old Senators jokes now work against San Jose.

Imagine a Sharks jersey for that one.

He sat out during practice and will be a game time decision tonight.

Also, as we mentioned earlier, Deryk Engelland has been recalled from WBS.
The reason why is starting to look more clear as Alex Goligoski did not practice yesterday.
The Post-Gazette is saying he may not be playing tonight, despite skating this morning.

From Elma R.

Hey fellow Pens fans and bloggers. Just wanted to share with you a photo that me and my buddies Tommy and Jacqueline made for the Kings game last night. Just a little tribute to not only 66 but to you guys there! Keep up the good work boys. The folks here in Cali appreciate the blog. Go Pens!

When does 66 get a statue?

Interesting news from the world champs.

According to [Jon Bombulie], Baby Pens d-man Deryk Engelland has been recalled.

Seven D tonight?

Hello old friend.

A Couple of Nice Pens Stories

In the wake of yesterday's game, you may need some cheering up.

Today we have two stories that should help.

"When Sidney Crosby scored his third career hat trick against the Montreal Canadiens on Oct. 28 there was one question that undoubtedly lingered in the minds of many hockey fans. What happens to the hats that are thrown onto the ice?

It’s a mystery that ranks right up there with Area 51 and Stonehenge. When it comes to the hats from a Pittsburgh Penguins’ hat trick, Mike Behme has the answer.

Behme, a Boy Scout and high-school freshman at West Allegheny High School, has been working with the Penguins since March in putting the hats on the heads of less fortunate children all around the world."

Our second story comes from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette:

Going into this game, the Kings were as real as the Tooth Fairy to us. Coming out of this game, the Tooth Fairy is real and it will shit in your mouth. Anze Kopitar is the most imposing player the Pens have played against in a long time. The Pens needed Evgeni Malkin for this one, case closed.

A vintage Chernobyl in the third period led to the Pens' demise.

Any talk of injuries catching up to the Pens is garbage.
They just didn't show up in the third period.

Bill Guerin's scoring a goal on Saturday.

Charlie's birthday was also celebrated in L.A.

The tour of "Places Dan Bylsma used to play that now have a former Penguin on defense" reaches its second and final stop.

Tonight "The Piece" plays his former team.

Scuds was an important part of the Penguins Stanley Cup-winning team last season.
His work in the Final against Detroit was where legends and four-year, $13.6 million dollar deals are made.

Scuderi grew with the Penguins.

He was drafted by the team in 1998, made his NHL debut during the 2003-2004 season.
He struggled while the team struggled, and he succeeded when the team succeeded.
He left the team a Stanley Cup Champion.

Now, after the jump, get gets Photoshopped.

Hopefully, an old friend will make his presence known
in the aftermath of tonight's game against the Kings.

If he didn't die yet.
