The Pens have lost two games back-to-back and everyone is ready to break their best friend's neck if they look at them wrong.

Apparently we all assumed Dan Bylsma was never going to lose twice in a row.

If you're mad at the world because that the Penguins lost two games on a west coast trip in November, you need stop and think about the situation more.

Did getting shut out by San Jose suck?
Of course it did.

Did listening to jokes on the Internet verbally fellate Anze Kopitar after the game in LA get annoying?
Definitely.

Remember:

Trust us. As bad as it looks right now, there will be a worse point in the season.

So stop punching your dog for a bit and watch a hockey game.

It wasn't that long ago that we thought this city wouldn't even have a hockey team anymore.

Should you want the Pens to win every game?
Of course you should.

But that's a pretty unrealistic expectation.

The bottom line is that this team is good.
Good enough that we expect them to win.

They're a talented team, but no one wins every night.
However, there are players on this team that can make the rest of the league look pretty foolish.

How many teams could even fathom losing talent like Malkin, Letang and Gonchar for an extended period of time?
How many teams even have players of that quality to begin with?

No excuses though.

Every team has to deal with injuries at some point.
This is our time and we'll get through it.

Disco Dan's coaching skills may be tested like never before, but we'll get through it.

Captured in the fourth quarter of the Steelers/Denver game.

You think your life sucks, imagine this kid waking up today.
Favorite team just lost and blind people try to read your face.

Anyways....

Quick news:
  • Letang out two weeks. [FF]
  • David Morehouse had a heart attack. Credit Chris Stewart with the save. [Trib]
  • Don't forget about the Pee On Me expo. [link]

From that same TRIB article:

Winger Chris Bourque, who briefly attended Boston University, where the Penguins practiced, was assigned to sing his school's fight song after a nearly 90-minute session.

"That's the first time," he said. "I didn't even know the words."

Another half ass effort.

New Photoshop Expo: Crosby Pees On Me

Posted by Pensblog Staff on .

On Friday [PUCK DADDY] posted at least his 70th pic of a fan peeing on Crosby.

Yes, another fan peeing on a Crosby card. That card above is from some card photoshop expo.
Now, we've had it out with Greg before. Puck Daddy is a beast, and really one of the only blogs we read. So it is not personal. And to be fair, the pic came from some LA Kings blog no one will ever read.

But this is business.

You'll ask the following.

Why do you care so much?

Because it's old, but yet still garners attention.

Why do you still get mad about people bashing Crosby.

Because we want to.

Didn't you post pics of someone peeing on A.O and Washington Caps towel?

Yes, yes we did. But we can do whatever we want.

Fact of the matter. Holding your shaft, and then proceeding to pee on a pic of a man....yea as homoerotic as it gets.

So it is time to serve internet justice the only way we know how.

A photoshop expo.

It is time for Bing to have his revenge.

Details

  • Make photoshops of Crosby peeing on people or objects
  • Try not to show the Penis...please.
  • email the pics to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
  • in the subject line put : CROSBY PEE
  • Do it.

Go Pens.

John Barbero Is Not Doing So Well

Sad news from the [TRIB]

The long time, and heralded public announcer for the Pens is not doing well.

Barbero was diagnosed with the tumor located in the center of his brain, but he still completed his duties with the Penguins during the season when the team won its third Stanley Cup championship.

Really sad. We wish John all the best.

We still support the new announcer. If you don't you're a vintage Pittsburgh homo.

Yearbook Pics

Posted by Pensblog Staff on .

New favorite site on the internet right now.

It lets you take pics of yourself or others and upload them.
You then can see yearbook pics through different years:

Like a 1954 bing

1996 Free Candy

1988 Geno

1964 maf

It's addicting.
Just ask Charlie:

All this = way better than actually talking about what happened on the west coast trip.

Karma Police

Posted by Pensblog Staff on .

Now in all seriousness, the Penguins losing to the Sharks in San Jose is no surprise. It is Karma still paying the Pens back for the humiliation they used to inflict on the Sharks. Nothing was better when you were 10 or 11 and staying up to watch late games on KBL. The games were over within the first 10 seconds. Buries It would have like 3 goals before you'd turn around.

To prove the point:
[courtsey of PENS UNIVERSE]

49 points in  14 games.

Anyways, whatev. Pens return home this week. Thank god.

We got nothing else, so check out this cool video youtube guru DayWalkr3 captured.
Inspired from Bings save against the ducks.

Top ten saves by NHL players.

Now excuse us. We have to find some medicine for our tongues. Hurt them licking stamps so we could mail it in this weekend.

It's November, so the Sharks are good.

They're 11-4-2 and had won six straight before losing to Detroit on Thursday.

They've only lost back-to-back games once this season and, though they've played one more game, they have the same number of points as the Pens.

The Pens haven't lost back-to-back this year yet.

Also, Dany Heately is now a Shark, so many of our old Senators jokes now work against San Jose.

Imagine a Sharks jersey for that one.

He sat out during practice and will be a game time decision tonight.

Also, as we mentioned earlier, Deryk Engelland has been recalled from WBS.
The reason why is starting to look more clear as Alex Goligoski did not practice yesterday.
The Post-Gazette is saying he may not be playing tonight, despite skating this morning.
