Pensblog Investigates: Blackhawks Alleged Photoshop

Posted by Pensblog Staff on .

Interesting thing going on out in the northwest.

The always solid ORLAND KURTENBLOG posted the following pics of the Chicago Blackhawks:

In the pics are Kris Versteeg, John Madden, and Mr. Douche himself Patrick Kane.

Now, a large number of people are claiming these pics are photoshops.

We could care less about proving this either way, but nothing else is going on.

So, anyone got any leads? We agree that the final pic, the Kane shot, looks like a shop.
And there is something about that bitch in the red shirt that doesn't add up.

Let us know.

Go Pens.

Apparently, this religious talk show reads e-mails and shit live on the air.

Here's the first one:

That woman is obsessed with the delete key.
And they snuck a Rickroll in there.

And a Rickroll gets caught:

Remember all those times the Pens would play some team and some jobber no-name stain would score two crippling goals?

Remember that look on your face?

Did it look like this:

Chris Conner was hotter than hell down on the farm.
And with the Road Dog Billy Guerin out, Shero played a hunch.
And, as usual, Shero wins.

All of a sudden, the Pens have won 5 out of 7 and 33 out of 54.
People are beating off about the Pens being 2 points behind the Devils now.
Too bad the Devils have only played 50 games to the Pens' 54.

The Olympic break is creeping up, too.  8 games left.  And with the trade deadline blasting GMs in the face coming away from Vancouver, odds are Ray Shero is working the phones as we speak.

GAMEDAY 54 - RANGERS

7:00 PM

Madison Square Garden

Listen to the game at [WXDX]

Bill Guerin and Alex Goligoski will both miss tonight's game.
Max Talbot will sit out as well, due to the same "lower body injury" that's kept him out of the last few games.

Marc-Andre Fleury will be back in net for the Penguins.

The Rangers are seventh in the East with 55 points, ten less than the Penguins.
The Rangers have been shut out in their last two games.
They lost 2-0 to the Flyers on Thursday and fell 6-0 to the Canadiens on Saturday.

Marian Gaborik is fifth in the NHL in points with 61, four behind Sidney Crosby.

Well, the Pens have officially taken the season series from the Flyers.  Huzzah.

Ask the Capitals how much that matters.  But anything we can lord over them is always nice.

Both teams played their balls off, for sure.  In the end, a stupid unecessary penalty was their undoing as it so often is.  They can't help it.
One more game against Philly in late March. Could be a huge two points for them as they fight for a playoff spot.  But for now, the Pens play another hated rival in about 15 minutes.  So let's get to business.

Know The Enemy:

"Thank Christ for no Bob Errey and the rest of the FSN amateur hour.
Can a Sunday get any better than this?"

Today's game will be on NBC, unless it's preempted for horse racing or Jay Leno or anything else the network considers more important than hockey.

Since NBC is showing the game, we headed over to NBCSports.com to see how they are covering it:

You'd think that, since NBC is airing the game, you'd see some sort of promotion for it on the site.
You'd probably even expect a big story near the top of the page.

You'd be wrong.

But after scrolling about halfway down, we finally found this.

Marc-Andre Fleury will be back in the Penguins' net.
John Curry has been sent back to WBS.

Pascal Dupuis will be in the lineup as well.
Nick Johnson was called back up to fill in for Max Talbot.

Thanks to Ghostwalker for uploading this to youtube from PENS TV

Great video.
Is there is a team that does more community work then the Pens?
Bowling is probably one of the most fun things of all time. Can't remember but last year during the playoffs we went bowling after the Pens went down 2-0 or before some huge game. Completely got our minds right.
You could get lost on the internet searching 7/10 splits:
Might need to get a Pensblog bowling league at some point.

Back to the video, amongest other stuff, Bill Guerin's mustache is completely out of control.
And at the end, around the 7:22 mark watch Granato jobbed Potash while Crosby is signing a shirt for some kid, while a giant tuna looks on:
The bald guy = one of granato's hit men.
Potash better be careful.
Go Pens.
