Buffalo Sabres (13-17-6) @ Pittsburgh Penguins (28-8-0)
ROOT, NBCSN, TSN2, RDS - 7:30 pm/et
Consol Energy Center - Pittsburgh, PA

The final game before the trade deadline. Apparently every Buffalo Sabres player is on the trading block.
On this day in Pittsburgh Penguins' History: April 2, 2008. We wrote this:
We all like Kennedy. He's a scrapper. But this isn't 2003-04. He hasn't found the net recently, and it's not even worth it to look his crap up. Kennedy doesn't have a presence on the ice other than, well, being present on the ice.
Fast forward to today and he's centering one of the team's top lines.

PITTSBURGH, PA - On NHL Trade Deadline Day, the Pensblog will deliver exclusive multi-hour, multi-platform and multi-amazing coverage of one of the most overhyped days on the NHL calendar.
Pensblog reporters, writers, staff, personalities and insiders will be blogging, Tweeting, Facebooking, eating, Tweeting about blog posts, sharing blog posts on Facebook, blogging about Twitter, Tweeting, creating animated GIFs, retweeting, sharing, discussing, ignoring and even linking to exciting NHL Trade Deadline Content all day long.
The Pensblog Trade Deadline 2013 Team includes the exact same people who normally post on the site, but with additional hype and possibly additional sarcasm.
The deadline team will analyze some trades in depth while not really paying most attention to the vast majority, since most deadline deals are unwhelming and largely irrelevant.
TUNE IN TOMORROW FOR HYPE CITY: THE NHL TRADE DEADLINE 2013!

We should have mentioned this earlier. Via Dejan Kovacevic, the Pens won't be wearing their blue jerseys any longer.
As Sean Gentille of Sporting News points out, they were going to retire them at the end of this season anyway.
What will they be wearing next season? We're gonna throw this out there:

EDIT: It's now official:
Confirming # Stars Jagr to #Bruins is for 2nd pick and 2 prospects.Pick changes depending on how Bruins do.#TradeTracker

Original post:
Because this would set the stage for the Bruins eliminating the Penguins from the playoffs far too nicely.
Told the Dallas Stars have decided to trade Jaromir Jagr. My sense is Boston leads the list of front-runners
— Pierre LeBrun (@Real_ESPNLeBrun) April 2, 2013
Just imagine the Boston Bruins meeting the Pittsburgh Penguins in the Eastern Conference Final. While the media is preoccupied with the storyline of Iginla choosing the Pens over the Bruins, Jaromir Jagr scores a huge goal in game seven to send the Bruins to the Cup Final.
Then throw up all over yourself and wake up.
Days of Y'Orr is already on JagrWatch2013.

Jarome Iginla wants to re-sign in Pittsburgh:
Jarome Iginla first choice is to sign a extension with Penguins. If not possible, Kings are a strong option. #RDS
— Renaud Lavoie (@RenLavoieRDS) April 2, 2013
Kinda of a weird tweet, but Renaud is dialed in. Plus he tweets in french so he wouldn't be committed to a lie in two lanuages.
Lots of ways to go on this, but it certainly sounds like a Hossa-like offseason awaits after the playoffs.
Re-signing Iginla isn't as hard as what people say. Even though the Pens have to re-sign Malkin and Letang Iginla could no question fit inside the cap if he really wants to really stay here.
