Pens will begin the Playoffs most likely Wednesday

It would have made sense for the Pens to begin the Playoffs Tuesday, but thanks to a Black Keys concert that doesn't look likely. Looking at a Wednesday-Friday schedule for Consol. Probably Sunday afternoon either in Ottawa or on the Isle.

The playoff scenarios going into the last game of the season

Bruins vs. Senators will wrap up the 2013 regular season tonight. The Sporting News' @seangentille, a must-follow, breaks it down.
It will play out like this for the Pens.
If Ottawa wins, Pens vs. Isles
If Boston wins in regulation, Pens vs. Sens.
Once the game is done, playoff schedules will then be released.

RECAP: Wow. PENS WIN.
Neal and his dark visor had a hat trick. Malkin put home a pretty one. Juicy had two goals.
Shit is about to get real. Ottawa/Boston Sunday night will determine the Pens' opening-round opponent. If Ottawa wins or the game reaches overtime, the Isles will be coming to CONSOL. If the Bruins win in regulation, the Senators will be coming.
Just wow. What a season.

Pittsburgh Penguins Gameday 48 - Carolina Hurricanes

Carolina Hurricanes (19-24-4) @ Pittsburgh Penguins (35-12-0)

The last game of the regular season. You can almost taste the playoffs. Jordan Staal returns to Pittsburgh for the first time since his trade. Jokinen and Sutter are also facing their old team.
There will be approximately 203 Staals in the Carolina line-up today. It's been a pretty bad season for both Staal and the Hurricanes.
For Pittsburgh, Paul Martin and James Neal will be in the line-up. It's also "Shirts off our Backs" night.
After the break, a bunch of Jordan Staal videos because we're emotional like that.

Pittsburgh Penguins Gameday 47 - New Jersey Devils

Two games left, both against non-playoff teams. The Pens can't go anywhere in the standings, so we're just hoping for no more injuries.

Oh man. Grab yourselves. Some huge ones.

The big one is Ottawa heading to Washington. The Pens' recent game in Ottawa has us really pulling for Ottawa to move up in the standings. It's not that we think the Pens would have trouble with them, but it's just that the Matt Cooke stuff is already pretty tired. Actually, take a look at betting on the Sens tonight in Washington. The Caps have nothing to play for, while Ottawa has everything to gain by winning.
For what it's worth, we'll take Toronto or either New York team in the first round. The Toronto storyline would write itself. John Tortorella is always fun. And it'll be cool to see what Tavares does in the big dance. An Ottawa win and Rangers loss tonight would probably keep the Sens out of that 8th spot. Good.
