Pittsburgh Penguins Gameday 26 - New York Islanders

New York Islanders (11-11-3) @ Pittsburgh Penguins (17-8-0)
ROOT, MSG PLUS, 7:00 pm/et

Consol Energy Center - Pittsburgh, PA

Back-to-back games for both the Pens and the Isles. The Islanders won 5-2 against the Capitals yesterday. No word on Malkin yet.

Season Series: 1-1-0
Last meeting that counted: February 5, 2013. Penguins won 4-2.
What we said in our recap:
Remember when the Isles walked into the CONSOLl last week and drubbed the Pens? Neither do we. The Pens snuck out of the shit-hole that is Long Island Tuesday night with a 4-2 win. All of a sudden, the Pens have won four straight.
Goals from Neal, Depres, and Suttertron led the way. Dupes sealed it with an empty-netter.

What they're saying:
More to come for tonight's game later. The Isles are 11-11-3 for 25 points, a standings tie for ninth in the East, one point back of eighth. With 34 points, the Penguins are two points back of Montreal for the top spot in the East. After tonight the Isles don't play until Thursday in Tampa Bay, so the standings will be making ground on them in the interim.
