Pittsburgh Penguins Gameday 13 - New Jersey Devils

New Jersey Devils (7-1-3) @ Pittsburgh Penguins (8-4-0)
NBCSN, RDS - 7:30 pm/et

Consol Energy Center - Pittsburgh, PA

The second half of a back-to-back against the Devils, who now hold the division and the conference lead. These are the kind of battles we expected with the shortened schedule.
Tomas Vokoun will be in net for the Penguins The Devils will start Johan Hedberg. Mooooooooooooooose.
It's also blue jersey night for the Pens.

Season Series: 1-1-0
Last meeting that counted: February 9, 2013. Devils won 3-1.
What we said in our recap:
The third period of this game was comparable to the last minutes of an NBA game where teams get called for fouls every trip down the court.
It's lame to blame officiating, and that isn't why the Pens lost. But holy crap. The refs looked like they got caught up calling the game tight and they never stopped. It was actually comical, but not really.
The Pens gave the Devils 10 powerplays. Over 29 minutes of penalties today. And anytime you have to kill 10 penalties you're probably going to lose.
Know Your Enemy: Running with the Devils
What they're saying:
The Devils held on for the 3-1 victory and with that, first place in the Atlantic Division and first place in the Eastern Conference! In addition, this is their 4th straight victory. I’d also like to thank Winter Storm Nemo for postponing tonight’s match between the Boston Bruins and Tampa Bay Lightning because a Bruins win would have put them in first place. New Jersey will have a huge rematch with these heartbroken Penguins tomorrow in Pittsburgh. The game will not be easy but I have faith so bring it on and let’s go Devils! A win would be golden. Puck drop is set for 7 P.M. and the game will be broadcasted on the NBC Sports Network.
7:30 actually.
